Capja and Badger Marketing have announced a strategic partnership at ScotPlant, setting out a clear push into the UK construction plant and hire market.
The announcement was made on day one of the show, with both teams on site to launch the partnership and speak directly with contractors, hire businesses, plant operators and equipment providers.
Capja, led by Josh Wallman, has developed plant hire and access-focused software designed to make site documentation, reporting and asset-level interaction simpler, faster and more useful. With Badger Marketing now supporting the business as its marketing partner, the focus turns to structured market entry, clearer positioning and growth across the plant and equipment sector.
A key part of the rollout is Capja’s new hire-focused software, built to challenge established systems by dealing with the realities of plant operations rather than forcing businesses into overcomplicated processes.
Alongside this, Capja’s QR-driven technology is being positioned for wider use across the market, connecting physical plant and equipment directly to live digital records.
This gives site teams instant access to documentation, inspections and asset information. It improves traceability, cuts admin and creates a stronger audit trail across projects.
The construction plant sector still relies heavily on a mix of legacy systems, manual processes and disconnected communication. Reporting, compliance and asset tracking are often spread across emails, spreadsheets, messaging apps and multiple platforms.
Capja’s approach brings that information back to the source. Data is captured at the point of work, structured properly and linked directly to the asset through QR technology. That means information is recorded accurately the first time, instead of being pieced together later through paperwork, inboxes or fragmented systems.
Badger Marketing will lead on positioning and go-to-market strategy, supporting Capja with messaging, sector engagement and campaign delivery across construction, engineering and manufacturing.
Dan Ezzatvar, Managing Director of Badger Marketing, said: “I’ve known Josh for years and watched him grow Capja within the market. I’ve always been impressed with how he does things from the ground up, with a clear understanding of how the industry actually works.
Capja has built software around real site activity and the realities of day-to-day operational pressure. The opportunity now is to take that into the general plant and hire industry and allow the wider market to benefit from what is on offer. There’s a gap between what systems promise and what actually happens on site. Capja closes that gap, and our role is to make sure that’s communicated clearly and taken up by the right businesses.”
Josh Wallman, Founder of Capja, said: “We’ve taken our time building this properly. Everything we’ve developed is based on how people actually work on site, what they need, what slows them down and what adds value. Badger understands that. They understand the sectors, the pressure and how to position something like this without overcomplicating it. ScotPlant is the right place to launch it. We’re speaking directly to the people who will use it, and this partnership gives us the platform to scale that across the UK plant and hire market.”
